If you have Koi pond with a stubborn suspended algae problem, upgrading your aeration system to a Linear Aeration system, that uses Bubble Tubing® , and or using a bacteria based Pond Conditioner are steps you should definitely take. Often times we find that people have been sold far too many Koi for the size of pond that they have, this coupled with over feeding or simply not having sufficient aeration can create annual suspended algae problems. Often times people try to use inexpensive “pond” aeration systems they find on Amazon, these low CFM, low PSI systems are most often far too light duty to keep up with the Oxygen Demand of the organism in a pond. If you’re just starting out with a new pond or attempting to rehabilitate a pond that has fallen out of balance you owe it to yourself to take a look at an SAS System or a Canadian Air System.
